I’ve just finished the 21 day Challenge with Body Complete, and am over the moon with the results.Thing is, I knew I would be. It’s a programme that works, and that’s for a number of reasons:

1) It’s do-able! I’d had a couple of months where I’d lost the plot with eating and skipped exercising (I think my Fitbit might have thought I’d given it to an elderly relative to wear for a while!), and, as someone who easily puts on weight, had piled on the pounds. The 21 days gives you a great eating plan, which has variety of lovely food, and you never feel hungry! When your head’s in the game, its easy to stick to.

2) The classes are a laugh! Don’t get me wrong, there are times when you wonder if you’ll ever walk normally again, but you never leave without a huge grin on your face; even if that face is a little bit redder than usual!

3) It’s run by Body Complete. Chris is one of the most supportive and understanding people I know. He listens and gets it when you’re having a wobble. He knows when to push you and how to get the best out of you. And he does it all with Tigger-like enthusiasm.

I couldn’t recommend Body Complete enough. I’m not a typical gym goer; you definitely won’t see me going for a run or anything like that. I’m happily mid-40s and plus size! But I do want to be fitter and stronger, and Chris gets that. I’ve always been intimidated by gyms and classes, and boot camps scare me to death. But Body Complete is so inclusive, all those insecurities seem insignificant. I’m going to stick to the 21 day food as best I can, and I know Chris will support me with regular 1-1 accountability sessions with him. I try to get in 3 semi-private sessions a week, alongside an added bonus of a Burlexercise class, and I’m confident that Chris plays to my strengths, without letting me get away with anything (cardio burn, anyone?!). And, more than anything, it’s not just about physical fitness – it’s about how Body Complete helps me manage a good work/life balance and reduces my stress levels.

Body Complete feels like family to me and I know they treat everyone with the same care, respect and dreadful jokes! If you’re nervous (I was! It was almost desperation that first lead me to that green door), don’t be. Go and meet Chris and Zoe and see what they can do for you. I promise you won’t be disappointed.
