I cannot recommend Body Complete enough. I love all the people that attend. They are so friendly and welcoming. The workouts are never the same which keeps you on your toes. I use to compete for fun in 10k trail and road runs, mountain biking and triathlons, then I tore my cartilage in my knee which stopped me from doing any sport, it was operated on in May 2017 and they found arthritis in my knee. (more…)

I’ve always been active throughout my life, mainly running, but I felt it was time for something differentother than clocking up miles. I did a summer boot camp a couple of years ago and loved it. However, due to work commitments and mental health ups and downs, I never kept it going.
I’ve just finished the 21 day Challenge with Body Complete, and am over the moon with the results.Thing is, I knew I would be. It’s a programme that works, and that’s for a number of reasons:

Before starting I was the heaviest I’ve ever been and I’d not done much exercise for months. I doubted if I had the willpower to stick to it and maybe I was just getting to old to bother with the gym.

I have always tried to look after myself and keep active but have always done it on my own, either at home using DVDs or swimming and walking.

My story starts some years ago when I discovered that I weighed more than 16 stone.
I signed up for private training sessions with Chris at Body Complete….
It was quite challenging at first as I had not done much resistance training in the past, but after just a few months I really noticed improvements in my general fitness, core strength and flexibility.
After too many children and a kite-surfing injury I was in serious need of specialist attention when it came to exercise.
Chris assessed my abilities and weak spots and explained that not only was my core shot, but also my shoulders weren’t functioning and that both core and shoulders were supposed to function as a unit – who knew?!
I signed up just over 4 weeks ago as I was feeling , fat, sluggish and demotivate

My sister and I have been going to Body Complete for four weeks now and we love it!
This is not your usual gym – we have regular check ins with Chris to monitor progress and we have been given nutrition plans which has changed our entire way of thinking about food.
I joined body complete because I was a lonely runner who had plateaued with speed, endurance and weight loss.
Since joining and learning how to avoid the rubbish food I aways ate after a run, I’ve maintained a good weight and knocked down my pbs in races.
I’m a larger lady with severe unpredictable asthma, oh and a diabetic – I saw myself as fat and very unhealthy. The bravest thing I have ever done was contacting BodyComplete who couldn’t have been nicer or more welcoming.
Where to start, I am in my 50’s and since being part of Body Complete it has completely changed my life.My first session I felt sick with worry, “what am I doing, I’m over 50 and have bad knees and back and I’m starting a fitness regime. Fortunately, the coaches are so perceptive and differentiate all their sessions to suit us all. I have been a member for a year and a half and love it.
